I found drs. Marcel's teaching excellent. I undertook an intensive 5 day CISM course and it was immediately apparent drs. Marcel was very experienced as he was able to break down complicated areas into manageable "chunks" using real-world scenario's. Questions were encouraged so that I (and my colleagues) could fully understand the areas under discussion which resulted in me having sufficient confidence to take and pass the final exam. I would highly recommend drs. Marcel as a teacher. — Andrew Richardson

I am pleased to recommend Marcel for his exceptional training and advice that enabled me to attain my CISA credentials. Marcel's extensive knowledge and expertise, coupled with his excellent communication skills, good humor, and approachable nature, made the learning experience a very enjoyable one.
Throughout the extensive course he was always enthusiastic and available to clarify or help answer any questions. This helped enormously in preparation for the CISA exam. I wholeheartedly recommend Marcel to anyone seeking professional training and consulting services. — Gerard Doeswijk

Not all studies and courses are easy to follow. Often they consist of Miles and Miles of slides. It is sometime difficult to see the practical value in real life situations. But that is exactly what Marcel did during our ISACA CGEIT course. Connecting the material to real life examples from our own perspective made a huge difference for me. I can warmly recommend Marcel as a tutor or speaker. — A. Barents

Marcel has done something quite remarkable. When instructing an official ISACA certification course, which are notorious for their mandatory ISACA-made content (which is mass murder by powerpoint), Marcel not only kept the class alive and awake through the whole thing, but kept us engaged, enlightened and discussing both practice and theory. And passing? As far as I know, all did and no one suffered. — Niklas Rendboe

I attended a CISM course taught by Marcel, and it was great. Marcel is very good at getting a good overview and key points across, and I particularly enjoyed when he got into a particular topic and "bubbled over" with nerdy-like excitement. But still ensuring that those attending who were not as technically adept were able to follow. So, top marks from me - both during the sessions, as well as in breaks 🙂 — Reni Elisabeth Pihl Friis

I was fortunate to be tutored by Marcel, and pass, for the ISC2 CCSP exam. Marcel has an in depth knowledge of the CBK and was able to enhance the course material with practical examples from his own experiences. Despite the material he was given to teach being in many parts surprisingly poor, Marcel was able to navigate the group through to the information we would need to understand to apply for the exam. Marcel has a great sense of humour and fun and also tried to make the course fun and engaging. He has an off beat sense of humour which gave the teaching a more human feel than just having to 'get through the material'. I would have no reservations in taking another ISC2 course tutored by Marcel. — Andi Scott

Marcel is a great teacher with a pragmatic and passionate view on the subjects within cybersecurity and risk management. I had the pleasure of being in his class during my ISACA CISM certification. His domain knowledge on cyber risk management is valuable for anyone attending his classes. And there was room for a bit of fun as well in the conversation we had on the subject. Great at creating an environment that supports fast learning experience both for native and nonnative speakers. Willing to listen to feedback positively and quickly able to adapt the narrative. I will definitely recommend a course led by Marcel. — Martin Tom-Petersen

I have attended two courses (CCSP, CISM) taught by Marcel and find him to be an engaging and warm instructor. Marcel has an excellent knowledge of the course material and presents it in a clear and entertaining manner, even when the subject matter is a little on the dry side. He has an anecdote for any topic, and this helps to understand its relevance in relation to the bigger picture. I look forward to attending future courses taught by Marcel. — Jeff Skeats

I had the absolute joy of having dr. Feenstra as my instructor during the ISC2 CISSP training. The current CBK of CISSP is roughly 1300 pages, but Marcel navigated and steered the group through topics with a breeze. But the actual level of quality in training with dr. Feenstra became apparent when asked to explain something. Instead of giving (just) a textbook explanation, he enriched these with real-life examples, often taken from his own working experience, enlivened with small anecdotes. This is where he really stands out compared to other trainers, and I believe one of the success factors in the passing rate at the examination. I can only give him my warmest recommendations, and if I were to train for a different certification that he is providing training for, I would 10/10 times choose his training. — Markus Moss

I spent what could have otherwise have been four dull, boring days on a CGEIT course taught by Marcel. I say "otherwise" because he brought otherwise dull content to life using real-world examples interspersed with insight and humour. I would thoroughly recommend Marcel as a trainer and expert in IT security and governance. — Fionbarr McLoughlin

I am writing to share my utmost appreciation and recommend Marcel for his outstanding cybersecurity training class. As a satisfied customer, I had the privilege of attending Marcel's training program and I cannot express how impressed I was with his knowledge, teaching style, and commitment to his students' success. [...] What truly set Marcel apart was his passion for teaching and genuine interest in his students' learning journeys. He created a supportive and engaging learning environment, fostering open discussions and encouraging active participation. Marcel's approachability and patience were evident as he went above and beyond to ensure that each individual understood the concepts being taught. His willingness to address our questions and provide practical examples enriched the learning experience significantly. — James Brade
